my bucket list

Hello friends! It's been a long time, or what feels like a long time, since I've published a new post. I have some new ideas in the works, but for now, I'm shooting out a quick filler. As you can see from the title, this is my bucket list! Of course, I'm only 19 years old, so in the future, things may be taken off or added, but as of right now, this is my current bucket list. I wanted to ring in the new year and new decade with goals for myself, one of them being to be more courageous. I think that stepping out of your comfort zone or taking a risk is difficult at times, so I've been doing some thinking about what I want to accomplish this year. Chances are, I won't actually accomplish anything on this list, but to me, the mindset is the most important factor here. I feel like the only way to understand someone's bucket list is to see it the way they do, look at it backwards. With that said, here is my current list, starting with number five.

5. Be the Voice of an Animated Character

I like to think that I have a great voice for some sort of animated character. Plus, I've always been drawn towards the romantic side of things, whether that be Disney princesses, romantic comedies, or even different musicals. I'm also a huge Disney geek, ask any of my friends. Along with that, I'm an actor. What did you expect? Naturally, there is going to be some sort of item revolved around film, TV or the stage on this list. The ultimate dream is to be the voice of a Disney princess, but in all honesty, any animated character would do. I'd love to play Ariel, but alas, Disney has already cast the live-action reboot and I don't sense an animated reboot anytime soon.

4. Conquer Every Dream Role

Yes, yes--another theatre thing. This is a tricky one, though. As someone who loves theatre, it can be easy for me to think that every role I get is a dream role. My best friend from high school said last night that I always end up saying "This is a dream role!" when I land a role. It makes her laugh, so I'm happy to be the comedic relief. While it may be partially true, I have a setlist of my actual dream roles (which I keep on my phone at all times). I currently have three, and they change every once and a while. For now, I have...

A. Audrey, Little Shop of Horrors [✔]

B. Ariel, The Little Mermaid

C. Katherine Plummer, Newsies

Audrey, Little Shop of Horrors (My Freshman Year)

3. Get Married

I know it may sound a bit silly, but I am a hopeless romantic. Considering there is an entire Pinterest board dedicated to my wedding, it only makes sense that it be on the list. Preferably, the ceremony would be outside of a barn in a field and the reception inside that same barn! I've pretty much had every part of my wedding planned since I was 14 years old. My favorite parts of the Pinterest board are below!

2. Visit the United Kingdom

I've always wanted to visit the UK. I love the atmosphere, the weather, the sights, the fashion, everything. I've always felt that I'd fit in there. It might around strange, but I feel that the UK is my aesthetic. One of my best friends went to Europe last summer and she loved the United Kingdom. Let's just say, never in my life have I been more jealous than in that moment.

London, England

York, England

1. Visit Austria

I'd be lying if I said that I didn't want to visit Austria because of The Sound of Music. In fact, that's how it started. Not only do I love to watch the film with my dad, but I was in a production of it in 8th grade--I played Louisa. Of course, it was a movie set, so the actual mansion isn't open to the public. Sadly, neither are the famous hills from the opening sequence (it's private property). However, many external, outdoor scenes from the film were shot in Salzburg, Austria, with the indoor scenes filmed on a set. It's more than that, though. The country itself is beautiful, and I can only imagine the adventures I'd experience there.

That's all, folks! Much love,
